It is The Deadliest Catch

Elena and I are really big fans of the Discovery Channel's The Deadliest Catch, and we get a kick out of the fishing captains and crews that are featured on the show. So, we were saddened to hear that an Alaskan crab boat ran into some trouble and sank, resulting in the deaths of a few of the crew members. Although the captains and crews on the show make it seem pretty straightforward and easy, even during the nastiest of weather, this accident just proves that this job is extremely dangerous. I keep thinking of a former college roommate who worked for a month, after he graduated, on a fishing vessel in Alaska. He made a lot of money for a month's work, but he had some stories to tell of the weather, the water, and the hard work.
