Sleeping on the Floor

Last night, N kept waking up, while Elena and I were watching some episodes of 'The Deadliest Catch.' When either of us would go to check on her, she seemed scared as if she had woken up from a bad dream. We'd get her to lay back down, but she just never seemed that comfortable. Around 10, we checked on her and she was up again, having a little trouble breathing -- she had caught a cold from someone. But, our options were for her to sleep with us or for one of us to sleep on her floor; she was really freaked out by the effects of the cold. So I decided to sleep on her floor, and it was a good idea that I did. She woke up a lot, crying, but eventually fell back to sleep. Around 1 or 2, she fell asleep for good until sometime later in the morning (I'm not sure when - I think she just stepped over me to get out of her room). The floor is not as comfortable as I remembered it being from when I was a kid. Heck, it wasn't even as comfortable as it was the last time I remember sleeping on a floor -- when I visited Tony (Cuats) about 8 years ago when he lived in Plainfield. He gave me a sheet and the A/C was cranked, so I froze all night! But I survived. And, I survived last night, too. Tonight is a different story - N has been asleep most of the afternoon. She may or may not sleep much tonight ....

I hope she gets well and sleep good again.Knowing you was around, she could feel safer in bed.

Ah, Plainfield - that was a nice place! At least the carpet was somewhat clean...

You should put a cardboard cutout of you in the room - that'll make her feel better!
