Sleeping all Night? Not Us!

About halfway through the afternoon today, I felt like this poor guy in the photo. For the past three nights now, our youngest daughter has woken up at various times throughout the night. And, every night, now, my wife and I go to sleep hoping that it will be a quiet night of uninterrupted sleep. But ... things haven't been working out as we hoped. On Friday night, she was up crying and screaming at 2:30, so we fed her, and she fell back to sleep. Saturday night, she woke up at 3:30, so we got up, fed her, laid her back down, and she cried more. Eventually, she calmed herself down and went to sleep. Last night, she decided to not even let us have a chance to fall asleep before she woke up again; last night, she was up at 8:30 and didn't fall fast asleep until well after 10:00 ... but, she slept soundly for the rest of the night. Of course, our oldest daughter woke up at 4:00 and was terrified because of the thunder storm that rolled through. We brought her into our room, where she kept us up the rest of the night, because she wouldn't fall back to sleep, until our youngest woke up for good at 5:30. Will tonight be different? We surely hope so!

As a follow-up, we were up last night at just about midnight. The restlessness (and weariness) continues...
