Going Online?

I have been teaching writing classes online and in the classroom for nearly ten years now. Most of my semesters include a few online sections and a few face-to-face sections, but next semester I am trying something new. I had a conversation yesterday with my dean, and he wondered if I would consider putting my entire course load online: all online sections of the writing classes I teach. So, in the spirit of a great adventure, I agreed to give it a try. I've never had more than two sections online at once, so I am not sure what the spring semester will truly hold, but I look forward to the challenge. Certainly, you will read about it when the spring semester gets here.

jason, I am teaching one creative writing course on line. It takes so much time to explain anything that I cannot imagine doing lots of courses on line.

How do you manage the paper work?

John,
I have taught online for about five years now, and have found it to take a LOT of time to interact with students. I am not sure how my experiment next semester will go, but I am looking forward to the challenge!
