Teaching Online

It's so challenging to figure out how to best transfer a course over to an online format. So much transfers well, especially for a writing course, but there is so much that does not. The pacing is quite different, the needs of students are different, and the usage of technology, of course, forces the course to use different methods of disseminating information (and getting feedback, too). So I sit here today working on redeveloping my online Composition course with a new textbook, new assignments, and blending it all with aspects of past online courses I've taught that I found to work well.
