The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

No, it's not Christmas (although that is a great time of the year). The most wonderful time of the year is about a week away. One week from Thursday, the Indianapolis Colts play the New Orleans Saints to kick off (pun intended) the 2007 NFL season, and I am just a little bit excited. First off, not only is it football season, but it's fantasy football season, and after finishing fourth in my league last year, I need to redeem myself this year (I won the championship in 2005; that's right, first place out of twelve teams). The league has a pretty good payout to the winner, too, so that won't hurt things either. But in real football, the Bears look great and should be top contenders to revisit the Super Bowl. And unlike a lot of Bears' fans, I will take Rex Grossman at quarterback: last year was, essentially, his first full year in the league -- not bad. Let's see what happens with a full off-season under his belt. At least one thing is for sure -- I am confident they'll dominate the NFC North this season: this belief puts me at odds with one of my best friends, and blogging friend, Tony, who runs his blog -30- and is a Packers fan. Poor guy.

You have to have faith in your QB. If Lovie does, then I must, too.
