I, too, have eaten all the plums

Okay – so I didn’t just leave a note like the speaker in the William Carlos Williams poem, but I did warn Elena every day as I ate them, one by one, that they would, soon, all be gone. And, as of this morning, they are just that: gone. Sorry. But, they were delicious. And every time I ate one, I thought of the poem “This is Just to Say.” So here it is from
